Thinking about one’s faith and belief (FAB) are an important aspect of Scouting. If your stay in Lough Dan Scout Centre is just about outdoor activities them you might just have missed the point. It should be about deeper things like friendship, respect, teamwork, care for the environment, leaving no trace and perhaps even wondering what life is all about.

Very often taking part in a challenging outdoor activirty will require you to dig deep to overcome a difficulty and to focus on what is important or by just being part of a fantasic landscape can help put things in perspective.

Here the views across the lake and mountains are magnificent and on a clear night the sky is awe inspiring. We have set aside a quiet area as our FAB zone where you can stop, sit, look, listen, think  and ponder.
