Leader Run Activities

Lough Dan is an adventure location so an element of risk is involved in what we do. Everything from cooking over an open fire to hill walking. On the site are natural “dangers” such as a river, lake and rough uneven ground. It is the responsibility of the leader in charge to ensure adequate supervision and make sure your members know the “rules”. That being said they cant be supervised all the time and a common sense approach is required and a personal sense of responsibility encouraged.

Here is a list of the activities that can be run by leaders while staying in Lough Dan. These we refer to as our “Base Camp” activities that you do at or from the site. If you would like more information regarding an activity please do not hesitate to talk to a member of staff. Most of the activities are self explanatory and for others we have hand-outs, maps, rules and equipment lists available from the office **Apologies, please note that the site is currently being upgraded – this list is in development, please contact us for further information regarding any topic below.**
