Where are we?

The Scout Centre is situated at (O 157 025 on sheet 56 OSI maps) about 40 minutes drive from Dublin and about the same from Wicklow town. The closest village is Roundwood Co. Wicklow.


To get to the Centre from Dublin take the N11 southbound out of Dublin, take the exit for Roundwood at kilmacanouge.
Follow this road (past the Sugar Loaf on your left) until your come to Roundwood town.
There are two Pubs in the middle of the town on opposite sides of the road, turn right here. (well signposted, brown signs)
Go up the hill and take the left fork, follow this road as it bends to the right and up the hill.
Take the left at the next junction.
Down the big hill and over the bridge and take the right turn after the bridge.
The Scout Centre is down this road on your right (there is a big sign and a gate) about 1/2 a km.

Other villages close by include Laragh, and Glendalough isn't far by car.


There are 4 pubs in Roundwood, a chipper, a bistro, and a centra. There are two 24 hour Tescos, in Bray and Greystones, and a Lidl in Greystones aswell.

For under 16 year olds tallaght is 40 mins by car,
The nearest ambulance is wicklow town, 25 mins by car,
