Activities

While camping in Lough Dan, scouts are spiolt for choice, with activities to suit everybodys needs. For the Adventurous type there is a lake for swimming,swimming! sailing and kayaking, even test out your pioneering skills and build a raft ...or a trebuchet! Just above the Campsite are acres of pine forset...perfect for bivving in!
Or do what we all really want to and get really mucky, on our slippery slide! our slippery slope

Fancy your hand at building a zipline? Well the infrastructure is in place just bring some rope and pulleys!

the bivvy site Why not try our brand new assault course. With tunnels, swings, balance beams, crawl net, a climbing wall and LOADS of muck. Your sure to be exhausted after it, but it's great fun....oh and did we mention mucky?


the bivvy site For the more relaxed scouts, why not chill out on our very own beach, take a stroll along the lake to the picturesque inchavore valley or sit round one of our 3 campfire circles, and just sing and talk long into the night

There are many spectacular hike routes in the area. The Centre sits on the Wicklow Way so it is perfect for a starting or stopping point, or even just for an overnight.
Many famous mountians line the horizon of Lough Dan, Scarr, Luggala, Djouce and Kanturk,a raft, with all equipment needed, supplied so hillwalking oppertunities are plentiful.

If you don't feel up to leading a hike, or would like someone who knows the route, a member of staff may be available to hike with you, prebooking is esential.

With Acres of Flat, Clean and very Green camping ground, your sure to have a good nights sleep, unless of course you play football or vollyball on our court untill dawn!
